I ordered the ‘Magical Day’ stamp set (Item Number: 145854) as soon as it was available to order in the Occasions Catalog. My oldest daughter Kaitlyn grew up with Harry Potter and all of his friends. It does retire on the 31st along with the ‘Magical Mates’ framelits (Item Number: 145660), the ‘Myths & Magic Specialty DSP’ (Item Number: 145600) and a few other mystical & glittery accessories. So place your orders NOW at my online store so you don’t miss out. If your order is less than $150 please use the Hostess Code: 9G6UJZPR so you are entered for a chance to earn some FREE SU! Rewards. I really enjoyed coloring the unicorn. I used the SU! Blends for my coloring. I colored the tail and mane as a rainbow and then used the Color Lifter towards the middle of each to make the color softer so it would mimic movement. It took me a little bit to figure out how to use the colored unicorn as I wanted it to be the focal point and actually set the project aside until the tag idea popped into my head after thumbing through the catalogs for more design and sketch ideas.
I also REALLY wanted to showcase the bulb safety pin as it is Rich Razzleberry. Let me tell you…I did a happy dance in the aisle when I found them in the store. They were in a package with a few other SU! colors…pop back in next week and I will show you all the other SU! colors that came in the package.
I was really proud of the finished card, the color combination just makes my heart happy. It is bright, colorful and I was excited to take a bunch of them a for swapping at the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event that I attended in Ft. Worth last month.
